Custom website
What exactly is a custom website?
A custom website is built from scratch around your business: its own design, its own structure and hand-written code. So you are not stuck with the limits of a standard template or pagebuilder.
What determines the price of my website?
The base price covers the design, the development and a solid technical foundation. On top of that you choose which features your website gets; every feature has a fixed price.
Can my existing website be rebuilt?
Yes. I can rebuild your existing website with a modern design, faster performance and better visibility. Your existing content and domain name can usually be kept.
What is included as standard in a custom website?
As standard I provide a custom design, hand-written code, a mobile-friendly structure, fast loading times, a good foundation for visibility, structured data, analytics and a cookie banner.
Do I have to work out how many pages I need?
No. You only choose which features you want to see on your website. I then decide myself whether something becomes a separate page or belongs on an existing one.
Can I add extra features later?
Yes. Because the website is built to measure, it can grow later with extra features such as forms, portfolios, blog posts, multiple languages or integrations.
Is my website optimised for Google and AI systems?
Yes. I provide a logical structure, clear headings, fast technology, semantic HTML and structured data. That helps search engines and AI systems understand your offering better.
Is hosting required with a custom website?
For a new website it is: without hosting your website cannot go online. Hosting then runs through me and is always charged separately from the website price.
Pricing
Are these fixed prices or starting prices?
The website price is a starting price: a website starts from €499. Every feature you add has a fixed price, so you know in advance where you stand.
Is hosting included in the website price?
No. Hosting is a separate product and starts from €204 per year. For a new website hosting is required though, because without hosting your website cannot go online.
Is support included in the hosting price?
No. Support and hosting are two separate products. Support starts from €35,00 per month and is optional.
When does a website cost more than the starting price?
A website costs more as you choose more features, or when multiple languages, extra content, photography, logo design or integrations are needed. That is always discussed in advance.
Can I take hosting without support?
Yes. Hosting and support are available separately. So you can take just hosting, just support, or combine both.
Can I pay for support monthly?
Yes. Support can be monthly and can be cancelled monthly. If you choose an annual subscription, you get a discount depending on the plan.
Are the prices exempt from VAT?
Yes. The prices are exempt from VAT under the small business exemption scheme.
Hosting
What is the difference between Small and Large web hosting?
Large web hosting has more web space, more mailboxes, more databases, more FTP users, SSH access and more cache capacity. Small is usually enough for smaller websites.
Is a domain name included with hosting?
Yes. A domain name is included in the first year. From the second year you pay the normal annual cost for your domain name.
Are email addresses included?
Yes. Both hosting plans include professional email, webmail, IMAP and POP3. Small includes 50 mailboxes of 1 GB; Large includes 150 mailboxes of 5 GB.
Are backups provided?
Yes. Both plans include daily backups with 14 days retention.
Is support the same as hosting?
No. Hosting keeps your website online. Support is optional follow-up for maintenance, small changes and technical questions.
Support
What counts as small changes?
Think of text changes, replacing images, small content updates, technical checks or limited adjustments to existing elements.
What happens if my change takes more time than my plan includes?
Then I discuss it with you first. Larger changes or new features are scheduled separately with a clear price.
Can I take support without hosting?
Yes. Support and hosting are separate products. We do first check whether your current hosting is technically workable.
Can I change my support plan later?
Yes. You can switch to a larger or smaller plan later if your needs change.
Are backups included in support?
Technical follow-up and backups are part of the support work. Hosting itself is charged separately if you take that through me as well.
Service area
Which regions do you work in?
I mainly work for freelancers and small businesses in Zwevegem, Kortrijk, Waregem, Harelbeke, Kuurne, Deerlijk, Heestert, Moen, Anzegem, Avelgem and Otegem. Working remotely is possible throughout Belgium.
Do I need to be based nearby to work together?
No. A website project can run perfectly well remotely, by phone, email or an online meeting.
